Ipswich Tonight

Have just had news from Ipswich that the meeting has been abandoned due to a crash in the 1st V8 race of the night. Emergency services are in attendance-so am just hoping nothing too serious has happened. Didn't know if anyone else had any further news.

Someone has just told me Nigel Trench had a major smash resulting in his roof having to be cut off in order to get him out. He was unconscious but came around a short while after. He is apparently off the critical list but was taken to hospital for a checkover. Numerous emergency vehicles were at the scene and the meeting was abandoned at the request of the police.
