Hi everyone,

13 days and counting,i wonder if the V8's could make the magic no 25 cars
that would be a real shot in the arm for this fomula.

Perhaps with 20+ cars on a regular basis the fomula might just get some more support

thanks

I Think were nearly there for 20+ regulars, I understand that sometimes racing has to take a back seat because other things are more important, but things are looking up. The 23 that are booked in is fantastic. Well done to team 42 for helping out Lee Pearce as well, and as food for thought other drivers from last year that have not been out yet.

Kevin Turner
Mark Williams
Jimmy Rispin
Mark Guinchard
Stu Blyth
Mark Ashby
Dave Bessent

Two names i have heard but not yet seen :
Dion Belcher
Mark Pratt

And the guys that have been out in hire cars this year already:
Geoff Bridges
Ryan Eaton
John Turner

If anyone wants to chat or ask questions were are all here to help and you never know "if you don't ask you don't get".

Hi,
Me and my dad might be going to the Ipswich meeting and we have never been to Ipswich. How long does it take to travel to Ipswich from Farnborough (next to Aldershot) and which ways best?

Cheers.

Hi JMG,

I think it'll take you about 3 hours or less but if you work on 3 you should be all good!!! You'll probably be better off going round the M25 then A12....Should hopefully be a good meeting!!! Was speaking to Ryan Eaton last night who seems to be looking forward to it....

Hi Daryl,
Thanks for the quick reply. Meeting looks good, what is so different from wimbledon than Ipswich except being bigger. Is it the corners? just like to know.
Cheers.

SPEED!!!!!!!!

Thats the major diffrence, Its the only track where we can really open them up and go for it. I have always found the racing better at Ipswich when i have watched. You are going to love it.

5 days to go 25+ cars this is the meeting of the year so far. If all goes well it is going to raise the profile of the formula. The only way were going to encourage more people to race is through meetings like this. bounce bounce

Hi Everyone,

5 days to go, I wonder if the star graded drivers will be taking the wins or will the lower grade drivers
be pushing to gain a win or two.
25 cars should be awsome lets hope they all put on a show.

i will be there.

The good thing about Ipswich is that if a white/Yellow grade driver gets a good start they can be away because of the size of the Track. So for the reds/star drivers they have to work hard for their points.

Should be a good meeting, Just need all the drivers to not give way the first time they see a car in the rear view mirror!!! I'm not talking about people being fired off into a fence, just race until you get that tap from behind... Most people on the track aren't out there to put people in fence's and will make the racing more entertaining?? Easy for me to say as i'll be on the otherside of the fence...Ha ha!!! Very Happy

But i'm sure it will be all good on the day...

Enjoy all if i don't get to say hello on saturday!!!

Hi everyone,

Well what can be said about the V8's last night
23 cars in heat 1 and some action, heat 2 little bit more action
Final 19 cars and a white top winner.
The stars of the evening anyone who raced !!
Well done to all the drivers lets show the knockers that you guys are here to stay
will this be a new trend, no stars or super stars taking the spoils? hope so

Hi all

Yes the meeting was a good un, great to see 23 cars racing, we bought a first time spectator who likes touring cars with us and he was blown away by the racing and the organisation and cant wait to go again and will bring others with him next time as well.
The good thing is theres more to come with Rob sellar close to getting another car , i think Malcolm burton should be out soon, also speaking to Kevin turner theres every poss he will be out this season + Daryl & Dennis harris later on, and Pete keenan after all his healh issues and looking well will prob be out late on or next season.
Great to speak to Nigel Trench also ,he has been through so much since the crash its just so good to see him turning the corner to good health.
And it was good to meet mjg & jmg and put faces to the words and mjg was hinting that we may see him trackside in the not too distant future
Hope all ok.

Hi all.

Well done to all on a very good nights racing. Ipswich is great place to view this formula, and it certainly looked fast!

Pleased for Dave Arnold & Rob Scott, whilst the bad luck for the evening was shared between Pete Ross, David Burton & Colin Goodswen.

Rob. Nice to speak to you & will try to catch up at Aldershot.

Keep up all of the efforts,as it is appreciated by the supporters.

Regards to all..

Cheers luke i thought so.

From what i have heard it was a good show from all of us drivers and would like to congratulate Rob Scott on his fine drive in the final. I have to admit i let Scotty Jr through without much defence thinking he would put the bumper in on the last bend but he didn't. I think he thought he had won it. But there you go you live and learn. Hi Brad & $hammerman$.

Good to meet you both & well done on your 3rd in the final Brad!

The racing was well worth that drive across to Ipswich, and on the subject of stadium food, it wasn't too bad. The worst for me has to be a portion of fries from the main stand at Wimbo, they resembled kindling! Laughing

There seems to be a lack of photos from the meeting, Did anyone take any? Im sure Chris Berry was there but nothing has been seen. Even photos of the cars in the pits would be a start. I no i will need some for my site and am sure Mr Harris would like some for this one.
