Site and Forum

Post  Admin on Tue Jul 21, 2009 5:11 am

With absolutely nothing happening on either, we ask the question again!
Is there any purpose in having them, other than for 'unofficial results'?
They're certainly not promoting the V8s in any way at the moment.
What do you think?

Mr Admin,

I am sure everyone will and would agree that both site and forum are a valuable asset to the V8 Stock Car Formula, i just think that things always die down a little come mid-season due to holidays and such like. Also for the fact that people have got other thoughts on their minds (Work) and are maybe forgetting to relay information and pictures to the site!!! I know this doesn't help matters but i am sure things will pick up again soon with a few meetings in Aug...
Not every forum is busy all the time and the one's that are tend to have people just talking a load of niff naff rubbish!!! (word to that effect!!!)

P.s. The car is coming along slowly but getting their!!!

Hi Daryl
I was just wondering how the new car was coming along the other day. Have you got any photos of it. I really enjoyed seeing the earlier photo's of it. Its good to see how these cars are constructed, as a spectator, I only see them fully built at the track.

Regards
Luke

site and forum

Hi all,

It seems very quiet at the moment hopfully things will start to pick up in the coming days as Yarmouth is only 10 days away.
Surely there must be some news from 1 of the teams?
We are now in to the build up for the World at Wimbo perhaps we could start winding things up to make more people aware that there is more than just 1 world final.
here's a question will David Burton be defending the title?
Can anyone stop junior from blasting away from the pack?
Is there any old scores to be settled?

What do you think?

RE. Site & Forum.

Post  mjg on Wed Jul 22, 2009 7:09 am

Hi All.

Firstly, I think this is a good website & forum, but it is only as good as the content provided. Personally I would like to see more imput on the forum by the drivers, even if it was just banter. I can't fault the likes of Brad Moss & Rob Beale for their imput on the forum, but even they must get fed up of posting views & getting very little response back!

Profiles...Great idea, more would be nice.

Wouldn't it be great to hear the opinions of the Scott's now and again. The same goes for the Burtons, Pete Blomfield, Colin Goodswen & many others.

Agree with Daryl's post, but would just like to add that not having a series this season hasn't helped the formula. Not being invloved at Spedeweekend was also a big blow.

Without this website & forum the V8's would get very little coverage, which would be a shame as it's entertaining to watch & follow.

Regards to all.

This site is too important to v8 stockcar racing to lose so it must be supported at all costs.

think it should be kept only reason its quiet is there arnt many people aware of the forum, also as we have only raced once this month so there isnt alot to say.
like our formula just needs more advertising to make people aware
