Ipswich Bank Holiday Monday

Post  JT Racing on Tue Aug 25, 2009 7:50 am

Hi
Often the question will arise who is racing at such and such track? So, I thought you might like to know that Spedeworth have, as to date, 19 cars booked in to race at Ipswich.
They are:-
2 Rob Beale
7 David Burton
23 Lee Pierce
33 Terry Harris
36 John Saunders
42 Peter Blomfield
72 Colin Goodswen
85 Colin Moss
89 Brian Scott
98 Peter Scott
99 Peter Scott jnr
117 Bill Chance
261 Simon Hogg
274 Sean Driscoll
323 John Turner
324 Simon Turner
547 Peter Ross
633 Barry Amas
815 Brad Moss.
This equates to just over 70% of our drivers racing

521 Alan Gray will be missing as he has work commitments

This leaves only 7 registered drivers on the grading list, one of whom car shares.

Thats a good turnout.
Shame Alan will not be there because he was going well at Aldershot.

un-fortunatly i have had to cancel my booking for the meeting due to engine issues. It is with regret that i have had to do this and if i was in a better financial position it would not be a problem. I just hope it is not going to end my season.

Sorry to hear that you have to cancel.
What is the problem?
How much do you think you will get for your body?
Have you thought of trading it for engine spares ? Very Happy
Don't suppose you could borrow your dads engine he won't notice its missing. lol

Hope you can get it fixed befor Wimbo. See you soon

Hi Brad,

You could try Rob sellar, i think he has at least one engine to hand, i could be wrong but he is worth a try mate, he is helping me out for next season with bits and peices for our newbie also.

The problem that i have got is i can only just afford to fix this engine and i don't like to use other peoples kit as if anything happens i will be put in a difficult situation of having dept which i can not afford to put myself in.

Hopefully if all goes well i may make it Monday but it is a very slim chance.

Right after some begging im going for it. Colin is going to put my dads engine in my car friday for me so all being well i will be at Ipswich.

On another note: Does anyone have a 400 pound spring (long) that colin could borrow for Ipswich ? He wants to try one on his rear axle to see if it sorts out his handaling issues.

Kind regards

That Uncle of yours is a good chap for helping you out!!! Same as the Turners, if you need anything and we can help just give us a call??
400lbs sounds very high for the back end, i doubt we would have anything that high i'm afraid... Crying or Very sad

Hopefully see you on Monday!!!

It is good to hear that the formula is doing so well at the moment. Due to starting a new job i have not been able to spectate at any race meetings in the last month. I have to say that i miss seeing the V8's as they are one of my favourite formula's.

The only way i can keep abreast of goings on is this forum so keep up the good work.

Hopefully will get to a couple of meetings later in the year!
