2012 Fixtures / Meeting Dates

Post  RobV831 on Wed Nov 30, 2011 3:17 am

Spedeworth have released the entire 2012 fixture list for their formulas including the V8's.
There are 12 in total, 6 at Wimbledon, 5 at Aldershot and 1 at Eastbourne.

Personally I would have liked a visit or two to Yarmouth and Ipswich throughout the year as the closest track is Yarmouth then Ipswich for me.
Though the meetings are nicely spread out.

The full list is:

8/1 - Wimbledon
5/2 - Wimbledon - London Championship
4/3 - Wimbledon
1/4 - Aldershot
13/5 - Aldershot
1/7 - Aldershot
11/7 - Eastbourne - Southern Championship
26/8 - Aldershot
23/9 - Aldershot - English Championship
28/10 - Wimbledon
25/11 - Wimbledon
16/12 - Wimbledon

Think I've got them all correct. Please check spedeworths site to confirm.

Nice to see fixtures all year round..
Although quite enjoyed Yarmouth last year but well gutted I won't get a chance to go round Ipswich as that looked a great track!! Sad

Hi,
I feel sure we would get Ipswich meets as and when we start to get around the 20 car mark as its a superb track for the v8s when enough cars are on it.But its great to see a full list of dates and hopefully will convince people to get trackside. And also give confidence to anyone thinking about racing a v8.

I think this will give us a chance to consolidate our efforts and main driver base, we can then appeal to new drivers to build a good firm base again in the formula before branching out to the other larger tracks...

If you look at the stats for 2011 season you will see that the majority of good turn-outs happened at these tracks, so makes sense to try and build on our base and fans/followers!!

Fingers crossed we can get those with cars to get back behind the wheel!!!

I also hear some good things are in line for the V8's for the 2012 season...Watch this space....
