Crate Engines/Restrictor Plates

Post  Admin on Thu Dec 01, 2011 9:04 am

I can confirm that Spedeworth have no intention of introducing either crate engines or restrictor plates. They want the formula to grow and they they do not see engine restrictions helping the cause. Therefore, engines remain the same as stated on the Spedeworth site.
Perhaps now the above has been clarified/confirmed, drivers who were not willing to spend money on repairing their engines/cars, because of the uncertainty, will now do so and be welcomed back on track for 2012.

The sooner people realise that the formula is being backed by Spedeworth the sooner we can start to try and re-generate the formula into something strong for the future!!!

I feel that something will be required to be looked at with regards to the engine for future years but the right decision has been made currently as we need to get the cars back on the track to enable things to progress positively!!!

Engine to remain the same. That should encourage a few out.

Just to check can you have roller rockers in a 350 ?

Hi Secret Squirrell,

I can confirm that you are NOT allowed to use roller rockers in a 350 engine...

You thinking of purchasing a Spedeworth V8??
