Hoosiers

Post  bobdernob2 on Sat Jul 14, 2012 4:50 am

Hi,

Every meet i have used Hoosiers this year i get a puncture (not the same wheel or position on the car) am i just unlucky or am i doing something wrong? i put the tyres the correct way on , but i use soap to ease them on ,is that it, that the tyre spins on the rim? Any advice will be greatfully received.forgot to say i do fit tubes as well!

Rob,

If your getting puncture due to nails/screws etc... then can't say alot apart from 'Murphy's Law'... Laughing
I've had two punctures from Aldershot although that was screws...

We tend to take a grinder to the rim before fitting the tube and tyre just to help the bite! also put it on dry, you don't need soap...

Regards, Daryl.

Cheers for the reply Daryl

Will put them on dry now and get the grinder out! They seem to have spun on the rim on a couple of occasions so will not lube them anymore now, it has not happened with the Avons tho but i guess they are a bit harder.

See you soon Rob2
